National Martyrs' Memorial |
National Martyrs' Memorial (Jatiyo Smriti Soudho 1982), located at Nabimagar, Savar is the emblem of independence of Bangladesh . It symbolizes the valor and the sacrifices of those killed in the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. The Memorial is composed of seven triangular pyramid shaped structures, with the middle one being the tallest. This monument was constructed in honor of thirty lac Bangalee who sacrificed their lives for achieving the victory against the Pakistani forces. |
